I work on a media prep team. Here if we have a part with an odd number of pages, we always print the first page as a single page, with pages 2-3 as a 2-up, 4-5, 6-7 etc.
For us it’s a safety issue, really - it’s much easier to see that page 1’s missing than that the final page is missing (big title vs small final bar line), and you’re more likely to notice a problem if you’re taping with the pages face up.
Would it be possible to bake in this admittedly unorthodox approach, so that where concertina folds are used the odd page is the first page rather than the last, please?
Hi @thecatfordcat!
Yep - that should be very doable. I'll see if I can get that out for you this weekend.
Cheers
Chris
1.0.31.0 release will contain this feature and should be available within the next 12 hours. To enable, navigate to Settings > Printers and check the 'Accordion - print single pages first' checkbox. Then use the Accordion print type as normal.
- Files with an even number of pages will continue to print all on two ups.
- Files with an odd number of pages will print the first page as a single on half-sized paper. The rest of the pages will print as two ups.
